Dr. Baleng Mahama

Dr. Baleng Mahama Wutor is a global health researcher who has worked in both rural and urban settings, engaging with communities across diverse contexts to address preDrssing social and health challenges. He grew up in Tumu in the Upper West Region of Ghana, where his passion for supporting vulnerable and marginalized groups was evident from an early age. As a teenager, he was an active advocate for children’s rights. Deeply passionate about social and health equity, Dr. Wutor has consistently sought to bridge gaps in access to healthcare and opportunities, working with stakeholders at multiple levels to achieve this goal. He is currently a doctoral student in Global Health and Development at the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University (U.S.), where he continues to build on his vision of advancing equity in global health.
